18th March 2010 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 15-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 foot surf Air Temperature: 13ºC Sea Temperature: 7ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: 22.3 knots (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 10 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) A very gusty day, but there was wind at last so I had to go out. Too many lulls to start with so the first half an hour was spent trying to get going and therefore loosing lots of ground downwind. Once I did get going in the gusts it wasn't great as I was concentrating too much on trying to regain some ground upwind. The wind then settled down a little and I tried again. Still with the Naish Hybrid Freewave and 5m sail and this time it was much better. Well powered most of the time and able to get some nice jumps off the waves. Not a bad session all in all. |
